Email Marketing For Developers
The marketing side of email: capture subscribers on a landing page, tag them automatically, and build sequences and campaigns people actually open.
There is a lesson early in this course called "What Is Inbox Blindness," and it names the problem the whole course is built around. People get so much email that they have stopped seeing most of it. Sending more email is easy. Sending email that gets noticed, opened, and acted on takes an actual system.
The scenario you build
Rather than a pile of disconnected theory, the core of the course is one campaign scenario built end to end. You go over a sales funnel so you understand where email fits. You build a landing page that captures emails. You tag each user automatically after the form submits, which is the unglamorous mechanic that makes everything downstream possible. Then you create an email sequence, grow it into a complete campaign, and finish with segmentation so different subscribers get different messages instead of one blast for everyone.
By the end you have done the loop once, in ConvertKit, with your own hands. That is worth more than any diagram.
Why developers should bother
Because email is where the money already is for most businesses, and most developers treat it as someone else's department. If you freelance, this is a service you can add to any client project. If you sell anything of your own, this is how you follow up with the people who almost bought.
The course stays on the marketing side deliberately. It covers the goal of email marketing, CAN-SPAM compliance so you never send anything legally careless, and the platform work described above. It does not teach you to code templates. If that side interests you too, the email development course covers it properly, and the Email Developer career path shows how the two halves combine. Curious how the roles differ day to day? I broke that down in email developer vs email marketer.
