My journey began with a head injury in 2019. My injury significantly affected my cognitive function and also being Neurodivergent (ADHD) my recovery would not be easy. As part of therapy I had to learn a new skill. I thought that would be a great time to hit the career reset button. I already knew a little HTML so I thought that would be a good place to start. First stop, YouTube! I looked for tutorials and projects.
My first Codingphase video I watched was about finding a job with only html skills. Joe is FIRE, he keeps it . He made it sound so simple, I felt like he was letting me in on a secret. I was so inspired to learn, I watched the coding phase tutorials and I tuned in the live streams regularly and I was super excited when the Codingphase community went live. Codingphase teaches you the skills, how to market them and how to profit from it. What codingphase provides is invaluable. Through my learning process I was inspired to stick with it and going to the accountability meetings made me feel like I wasn't alone. As a result I landed a job with the State of California Franchise Tax Board as Lead Content Editor managing the Enterprise intranet. I'm happy I was there to be a witness to some of the early milestones and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Codingphase.
